TASTING NOTE:
"The sample has a vivid dark amber colour which is impressive for a rum 5 years and under. This has either been aged in fresh virgin oak casks highly charred, aged in a very fresh Sherry PX or Olorosso casks or it has added caramel to get this colour. The nose starts of with sherry like fruitcake, prune and raisin with ripe roasted apricot. There is hints of banana, caramel, mint and eucalyptus with some wood smoke and chocolate. The palate is quite rich and the sherry is very present. The olorosso sherry used makes for a complex and comforting rum. There is chocolate, coffee, fruitcake, cognac soaked raisins and some cooked stone fruits with a touch of vanilla.
